At Summary Express all we do is summarize depositions, trial transcripts and hearing transcripts. We are not a full service paralegal firm. It is our philosophy that we should do one thing and do it well. Our focus is solely on delivering an excellent summary you can count on, at fair price.
Formats
All summaries are prepared in either Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect.
Standard summary format is 2 columns. The first column is the page/line reference, and the second column is the summary of the referenced text. Other formats are available, and if at all possible we will be happy to use your firm style at no additional charge. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs. A typical summary will result in a one page of summary for every 10 pages of original transcript text. In cases of particularly complex testimony or very detailed testimony, the summary will be longer.
Custom formats are also available. We can provide a summary that puts all of the relevant information into a format, designed to fit your specific needs. This is particularly useful in class actions or mass tort cases where there are many plaintiffs with the same issues, but varying levels of exposure or damages. Trial transcript summaries follow our standard format. In addition to summarizing the testimony, you have the added benefit of a specific focus on objections and rulings from the judge that are so critical to your appeal.
